I learned a lot about the different ways to utilize Gong internally when launching and different workflows available for engagement and adoption.

As a new starter at Gong, this certification was extremely valuable (and challenging at the same time!)

I would encourage all Program Managers to carve out the time to complete this. In order to fully leverage the value of Gong, this course provides all the information you need.

My biggest takeaway is to utilise all the Gong resources such as the Community, Help Centre and Gong Academy across the entire team :)

I learned the a lot about what the business cares about regarding the usage of Gong. The questions helped me to see what problems customers are using Gong to solve for.

I just passed my final assessment and my #1 piece of advice to new Gong Program Managers is to follow the advice and best practices in the help center and Gong Academy. Gong uses Gong every day so we know what works successfully.

This training was intense and so essential to the adoption and smooth implementation of Gong use at my company!

I learned so much about how to filter and interpret the data Gong collects and how to share that insight with the Sales, Marketing, Partner and Customer Service teams. I also collected so many excellent resources that will help Enablement build a Call Library and launch a drip campaign to get coworkers excited about using Gong and expose them to time-saving tips and coaching features that will improve our team, strengthen our pipeline and grow revenue. The Playbooks, success plans and templates that this training provided will help me take a first step forward in creating useful content for sales representatives and streamline onboarding for new hires.

My advise for new Program Managers is to ask for feedback and pain points from Gong users at your company and let use of the tool evolve along with your business. As users get comfortable with Gong, they’ll determine what aspects of the instance work and identify tweeks that could better support individual, departments and overall business growth. Help support coworkers in using Gong to its fullest potential!

What is the most important thing you learned during this Launch Certification?
Team collaboration and buy in from every department using Gong is key. There are so many features and little details that I wasn’t aware of prior to taking this course!

What is your #1 piece of advice for a new Program Manager who is implementing Gong?

There are so many different ways to use Gong through each team. Sales vs Customer Success may use it very differently and it’s important to understand the workflows to start off on the right foot. Be patient and make adjustments along the way as you see fit.

My biggest lesson through the Gong Program Manager Launch Certification is that I was able to see into the mind of everyone involved in the process of implementing Gong. I have only seen the product from a technical point of view as is related to my role but this course has let me see how other players see Gong which is a big eye opener for me.

For every newly certified Program Manager, I say a big welcome to the Gong family. While it is ultimately your decision on how you implement Gong at your company, know that you are never alone in terms of seeking advice. Always feel free to reach out to get advise on how best to unlock the power of our amazing product. Be it here in the community, speaking to your CSM, having a chat with your AE or by reaching out to the technical support team, we are all here to help you success with Gong. Once again welcome to the family :)

My best piece of advice for a new Program Manager who is implementing Gong is not to panic if you don’t know EVERYTHING immediately. Approach mastering the platform one layer at a time, as you will find value at each layer. There is more than one way to accomplish the same thing, so prioritize obtaining an understanding of what is possible within Gong, then think about the way you work, and configure workflows from there. Don’t overthink it!

I definitely learned a lot! This certification was challenging in all the right ways. One of my key takeaways was the importance of identifying critical players while planning your Gong rollout to kick it off successfully. The center of excellence section was incredibly informative because it was beyond Gong customization.

#1 piece of advice for a new Program Manager who is implementing Gong: As you continue to unlock reality with Gong, stay in tune with feedback from your managers and users, be thoughtful about your trackers and deal boards, and don’t be afraid to iterate on your processes. Gong on its own is powerful to begin with, but there’s really a huge difference in what insights Gong can surface for your company if you set it up thoughtfully.

The most important thing that I learned throughout this certification is better understanding my role and how I fit into our organization achieving our goals. My advice for new Program Managers is to trust the process that Gong has laid out. It will make everything much easier!

Learned so much about implementing Gong going through this certification, would recommend it to anyone implementing at their company or any sales managers wanting to grow their knowledge base. Most valuable thing I took away, as a sales manager, were all the tools/functionality around call coaching and breakdown of call data.

Number 1 piece of advice for a new program manager would be to take this course to ensure a smooth implementation and ensure Gong adoption at your company. I’ve personally taken this course throughout the first month or so of using Gong at my organization and between using it more in my day to day and doing the course my excitement (and knowledge) has grown a lot!

Being a GONG partner, we wanted to learn more about the user community that is currently using GONG along with share our ideas for our new offer DialoguePrime for GONG which is both Relationship and Seller intelligence built on top of GONG. We are also a Dynamics 365 partner, so integration with the Microsoft Eco System and the Power Platform. With obtaining the certification, we hope to showcase to our clients on any echo system we can show the value of GONG and integration services we can provide.

The most important thing I have learned is the best practices of each feature in regards to its set up and implementation. This will help me to advise customers on how best to approach a variety of different settings depending on the objective.

started my journey with Gong simply listening to calls and creating trackers. And what has amazed me the most is how the tool can be leveraged to move performance and bring better value to the business. One tip I would give is to practice and play around with Gong before implementing it. It can be a beast sometimes. LOL😁

The most important thing I have learnt through this program is to create excitement and engagement with the sellers. Gong is a wonderful and powerful tool and it deserves full commitment and usage from everyone being introduced to its features.

My advice, is to keep on top of the updates that Gong regularly communicates as new tabs, reports, features and trackers are being added all of the time.

  1. What is the most important thing you learned during this Launch Certification?

  2. What is your #1 piece of advice for a new Program Manager who is implementing Gong?

Hi, there! Hello!

Oh, my! Where should I start… I’ve been a Gong Standard Team Member for a while, now. I was given the opportunity to get certified to be a backup PM for our SalesOps team, and did I learn with this Launch Certification!

I thought I was already using Gong to its fullest, but, no. I was merely looking at a fraction of the compendium of the amazing capabilities Gong offers. In particular, I’m leaving this course with a new look on organizing libraries, streams, trackers, and the colors of the Insights and Deal Boards.

My advice? Patience. There are many tricks to the trade, but https://help.gong.io/ is your best ally.

Thank you, @Kellie Petruzzelli , @Bruno, and Gong team.

You rock!

  1. What is the most important thing you learned during this Launch Certification?

A lot! One of the most important things I learned is how vital it is to leverage the tools in Gong for continuous improvement. In an environment that is constantly evolving and is ever more competitive, tools like this provide the customer insights and opportunity to coach employees to be forward thinking and in tune with what the customer is saying.

  1. What is your #1 piece of advice for a new Program Manager who is implementing Gong?

There is so much to learn. Take time to set up the platform and tailor it to the needs of your business.

I have learned so much during my Launch Program Certification, but I think the biggest overall is how transformative Gong can be for businesses. Being able to connect and enhance data surrounding deals and the efforts towards those to up-level individuals, teams, and orgs is huge.

My number 1 piece of advice for a new program manager is to really encourage teams to use Gong to the fullest. Maximize every feature for every team and track how your teams are using the platform to really get the most out of it.

Help center is your friend… Gong is an incredible tool with so many use cases and options. Craw > Walk > Run. Have a strategy and don’t try to boil the ocean out of the gates.

  1. What is the most important thing you learned during this Launch Certification?
    • Resources are your best friend! I found the easiest way to find the answers I needed was by searching the help center or the content catalog.
  2. What is your #1 piece of advice for a new Program Manager who is implementing Gong?
    • Be patient with yourself. It’s a big tool that can be simple but easily complicated depending on who’s managing it.

The most important thing I learned during the Certification, was that I wished I’d completed the whole course before deploying Gong! The demands of the organisation necessitated a speedy roll-out of Gong, and there are certain elements that with hindsight I would have liked to have configured prior to the launch - such as scorecards. It has been very useful to catch up on this knowledge and to be able to use it to better develop our Gong instance.

The most important thing I learned during this Launch Certification is that Gong is an incredibly intuitive and multi-faceted tool -- it’s flexibility lends itself to configure according to your company structure and business needs and objectives. This means that for the most valuable insights, it’s all the more important to ensure things are set up properly and that the tool is adopted in full (which is my #1 piece of advice for other program managers - make sure your implementation plan is strong!)

What is the most important thing you learned during this Launch Certification?

  • Multiple ways of using Gong across the sales org to increase adoption, from onboarding to call coaching as well as using it in new product releases or other initiatives

What is your #1 piece of advice for a new Program Manager who is implementing Gong?

  • Plan your rollout early, and make sure to get your executive sponsors and champions defined, and keep them well-informed throughout the onboarding process.

  1. The most important thing I learned is that while Gong setup is technically easy, it can be organizationally complex. Business and technical admins must work closely together to define their business objectives and desired outcomes from using Gong (WHAT), and then match that with the technical aspects of their Gong implementation (HOW).
  2. For new Program Managers implementing Gong, be sure to leverage Gong’s Professional Services consultants/engagement managers/technical architects, your Customer Success Manager, and the content in Gong Academy. Along similar lines to #1 above, if you are seeking a customization in Gong, the answer is likely that there are multiple ways to do it. By leveraging Gong Academy resources, you can find not only HOW to do something, but what is best practice. And with an org like yours that is scaling, best practices eliminate innumerable headaches down the road.
